Let's talk about Ruby Woo

Ok, so I've said it! Ruby Woo is my favorite shade of red lipstick. But it's not only me. Alessandra Ambrosio is wearing it, Rihanna is wearing it, Dita Von Tease is wearing it, Gwen Stefani is wearing it...etc. So basically every red lipstick icon in the world of celebrities knows about it, so that's why I think you should too.

MAC Ruby Woo (16$)
Ruby Woo is a beautiful red lipstick from MAC. It's matte finish and it stays on and on and on...Actually let's not be humble about this one, it's really one stubborn red that lasts for hours! Sometimes it can make your lips dry, so if you wish you can put some nice balm under (try the Nuxe one, because it's moisturizing but matte finish and it will blend well).

Even though Ruby Woo is not that pricey (compared to some other lipstick brands), especially if you consider the quality of this lipstick, but if you would like to start with something similar for less money, you could  try Wet n Wild "Stoplight Red". The shade is very close to Ruby Woo's, it won't last for hours but you could get some pretty decent 4 hour wear.

Red lipstick

Julien David winter 2012
There is one thing I could talk and write about for days. Red lipstick. I believe there is no other thing that can instantly change the way you look, like the red lipstick can. Yes, it makes you feel more pretty, more feminine and even more powerful if you are headed to some important meeting. The first and the most important thing is to find the right shade and trust me, that's not so complicated as we like to imagine.

First you need to discover are you warm tone girl or a cold tone girl and the easiest way to do it is to look at the color of your hand veins. If they are more bluish you are cold tone and if they are more green you are warm tone girl. The other trick you can use is to put silver or gold color watch on your wrist. If you are cold tone, your skin will look brighter and healthier with the silver watch, if you are warm tone girl you are gonna look that way with the golden watch.

Once you did this it, it can also help you to choose your wardrobe better, but let's go back to the lipstick! So, basically if you are cold tone girl you should choose a red lipstick with blue undertone in it and if you are warm tone girl you should buy yourself a red lipstick with some orange in it. Also, remember, there are neutral reds on the market and one of them is absolutely a bestseller and my favorite lipstick - Ruby Woo from MAC. So if you still are not sure about your skin tone or the right shade of lipstick, with this one, it can't go wrong. Trust me.

Besides my No.1 Ruby Woo, here are my top 5 reds:

1. Russian Red - MAC (blue undertone) - Diane Kruger was wearing it in Inglorious Bastards
2. Cherries in the snow - Revlon (blue undertone) - Brightens up your face in a second
3. Lady Danger - MAC (orange undertone) - Perfect summer shade
4. Fire & Ice - Revlon (blue/pink undertone) - Classic, makes you feel like a true hollywood star
5. Gabrielle Rouge Coco - Chanel (neutral undertone) - It's very moistruizing and it's Chanel!

ps try not to wear it when you are about to meet your boyfriend's mother or grandmother. I don't know why, but seems to me that every single one of them has a little queen Victoria in them (you know, the one that forbidded woman to wear red lipstick so they don't decieve men with their false beauty)

Lip balms

Lip balms

I do not know about you, but I'm definitely addicted to lip balm. We girls know that the purpose of lip balm is to protect our delicate lips from external influences such as the sun and wind. We also know that lip balm is our savior number one savior when our lips are already "cracked".

First Lip balm

Lip balm first appeared on the market back in 1880. It was Chapstick, invented and launched by american Charles Brown Fleet.  Composition of lip balm from then until now, hasn't changed much, and is based primarily on beeswax or petroleum.Although the first lip balm Chapstick is still very popular, our market today, unlike back in 1880 offers a much broader range. Almost every serious cosmetic house offers us their version of lip balm, but the most popular among the balsams are still Smith's Rosebud Salve, Blistex, Burt's Bees, Carmex, Khiel's, Lip Smacker, Vaseline and Nivea's  Labello.

They attract us with their magical scents, low prices and attractive packaging, and give our lips natural moisture, care and necessary vitamins. My TOP five favorites are:

      1.       Smith's Rosebud Salve – beautiful scent and retro chic
      2.       Nuxe lip balm – mat texture and very moistruizing
      3.    Maybelline - Baby Lips (new bestseller and every beauty blogger has one)
      4.       Labello – has cult status and absolutely deserves one
      5.       EOS – the coolest package ever

ps my little secret is Homeoplasmine (healing lip balm from French pharmacies), which apply in the evening before going to sleep and in the morning you wake up with the softest lips ever! Packaging is a very modest and price for the quantity is more than affordable, and it is always on my top 5 list of beauty products!
